How do you motivate a friend to be "more than friends"? How do you move forward from "just friends" to girlfriend, boyfriend, partner, or lover? How do you escape the friend zone? :-)

Asking for a date directly can have a good chance of success (Experience baby!), it can also be awkward and difficult. Therefore, some people prefer to take a more "indirect" approach to asking out a love interest (especially those who are shy or have some social anxiety). A less direct approach takes some of the risk and uncertainty out of the requesting. It can also make the process easier.

The story I'm about to share might be fictional. But who cares? as long as you get the gist... ;-)



My last boyfriend and I were always quarreling. Each time we met, spoke on the phone or over the Internet, we were sure to have at least one fight. It could be about almost anything- from the fact that I was the one always calling him to the way I tended to withdraw into myself whenever we hung out with other people. Then there were the times we teased each other. One person was always bound to take offense and soon it would lead to the other person recalling a past hurt and eventually, an epic rant from either one or both of us. We were always polite when it came to the rants. We took turns at it.

Er mmm, Nobody?

Well, me neither. I mean stories like the one yours truly is about to narrate can only be fictitious…or Not. Anyhow…here it goes.

In response to a video that recently made waves on the internet about the things that girls say, my friend, Toolsman, and I decided to play about it a bit and bring it closer home; make it more palatable and present to you:

I recently shared some of the things that I believe women consider before committing to a relationship with a man. I do not state these as facts but as mere results of research conducted. Today, we shall delve deeper and look at the flip side of the coin. The things men consider before making their move.

I am not a relationship expert; well except you want me to give you tips on client-customer relationships, then I may be able to spin off one or two pointers. Today however, I would like to reel out some of the things that swim around the mind of women when they are about to pick a guy to settle into a relationship with. You must have thought it was all about your fancy clothes, car and wallet? Well all that plays an important role but believe it, women are deeper than that nowadays.  The points below illustrate this:
